These are self-anchored joints for ductile iron pipe which eliminate the need for thrust blocks at changes in direction, making them particularly suitable for difficult or unsuitable ground conditions .
They incorporate specially prepared metal teeth bonded to the hard heel section，which grip the pipe socket to provide an anchored joint under pressure. These are available in sizes of up to 600mm with larger sizes under development.
